Implementing IFS Aurena and improving the user experience (UX) for an aerospace and defence partner
IFS Applications supported: Apps 10, Aurena
Modules worked on: Supply Chain and MRO
Project type: Re-implementation
Industry: Aerospace and Defence
Techris Consulting partnered with an Aerospace and Defence company to implement the IFS Aurena interface for the MRO teams and improve the UX across IFS. We serviced the customer by our consultant working as a multi-discipline team member, covering consulting activities, technical work, project management, solution architecture and scope planning.
Working across Supply Chain and MRO departments, our consultant was tasked with identifying post go live operational issues with staff using IFS Apps 10, suggesting process improvements whilst remaining compliant with stringent regulations.
As part of the solution, we piloted the IFS Aurena interface for the MRO teams to manage maintenance activities and time reporting on the go through mobile devices.
As part of the implementation Techris Consulting
-
Developed a work lobby that gave the MRO teams a friendly touch interface to get them to relevant work tasks as quick as possible without the need for exhaustive searching and navigating through multiple screens. This resolved a long running issue of reducing the time it took to identify work and resolving an issue with an inefficient lobby.
-
Redeveloping the IFS Apps 10 solutions and removing customisations that had been delivered where standard functionality could be utilised.
-
Optimising data queries to reduce the search time from 60 seconds per operation to under two seconds – leading to much better productivity from the workforce and an increase in user satisfaction.
